Correct Torn, Stretched, or Gauge-Damaged Earlobes

About the Procedure
Earlobe repair is performed in our treatment room under local anesthesia, with no general anesthesia required. Usually, the procedure takes around an hour to complete. The repair first involves “freshening” the edges of the torn lobe by removing small amounts of skin. Then, using fine sutures, the earlobe is meticulously repaired to reconstruct a normal, rounded earlobe that matches your natural ear shape.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Earlobe Repair?
Earlobe repair is appropriate for adults with torn, split, or stretched earlobes — whether from long-term earring wear, gauge plugs, trauma, or natural aging. The procedure requires no general anesthesia and involves minimal downtime. Most patients return to work and normal activities the same day or the day after. Dr. Do will evaluate your earlobe condition during your free consultation and recommend the most appropriate repair technique.
