Smart Laser Liposuction Houston
Remove Stubborn Fat and Tighten Loose Skin

What Is Laser Liposuction?
Lasers are amplified light energy, produced in a beam or ray that can be frequency adjusted using specialized equipment. Laser liposuction works by using this energy to safely liquefy fat cells in the middle layers of the skin. These minimally invasive techniques are considered a safe, precise, and relatively painless way to remove fat deposits in the neck, upper arms, abdomen, and thighs.
Sometimes called a SmartLipo® procedure after a popular brand of medical laser device, laser liposuction in our Houston center is a popular endoscopic surgery option with a short recovery time.
How Laser Liposuction Works
At the Aesthetic Surgery Institute, Dr. Do uses a specialized low-energy laser to loosen and remove excess body fat.
- Dr. Do will make sure you are completely comfortable during your procedure.
- Very small incisions will be made to allow the insertion of a laser fiber tube, called a cannula.
- Three wavelengths of laser energy are used to liquefy the targeted fat cells and stimulate collagen.
- The liquified fat is carefully suctioned out and removed, resulting in the sculpted shape desired.
- Because of the smaller incisions used with these types of minimally invasive surgery, usually no stitches are needed.
The Benefits of Laser Liposuction
Less recovery time compared to traditional liposuction; laser liposuction patients go home the same day as an outpatient procedure
- Laser lipo is a gentler procedure more appropriate for areas like the face and neck
- Laser energy tightens the skin more than traditional liposuction
- The surgical instruments used are smaller, and few, if any, stitches are needed at the surgical site
- Can be used in combination with traditional liposuction surgical techniques
