The most common side effect is temporary minor bruising. Some patients might develop a headache, but it’s not common. Although it’s rare, some patients may develop temporary eyelid drooping, which happens when the injected BOTOX® moves around. It’s important to avoid rubbing the treated area for at least 12 hours after the injection. Allergic reactions (e.g., itching, rash, red itchy welts, wheezing, dizziness, or feeling faint) have been reported but are rare.
